A drug neutralizing hydrochloric acid of gastric juice, also acting as a shielding and astringent. Aluminium phosphate contained in the preparation has protective effects on mucous membranes of oesophagus, stomach and duodenum through formation of protective layer. The form of suspension facilitates even distribution of the drug on mucous membrane what facilitates its healing. Aluminium chloride formed as a result of neutralization reaction has astringent and anti-inflammatory effects. The addition of peppermint oil provides a slight antispasmodic effect and facilitates digestion. Indications In the treatment of complaints occurring in the course of the following diseasesGastric and duodenal ulcers (supportively or ad hoc in case of complaints) Hyperacidity of gastric juice Gastroesophageal reflux Heartburn Contraindications Do not use Gelatum Alumini Phosphorici if - severe renal insufficiency - hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation. Dosage Shake the bottle before use. Usually administer orally 3 times daily a teaspoon (tablespoon in more severe cases) before eating or 1-2 hours after each meal and immediately before bedtime. Do not use more than 100 ml per day. If you feel that the effect of the drug is too strong or too weak, consult your doctor. Store at a temperature below 25°C.
