Characteristics
Multilac IBS is a food for special medical use for dietary management of intestinal disorders, such as intestinal dysfunction, including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS); diarrhea of various origins; chronic or recurrent constipation; inflammatory bowel diseases; disorders of intestinal flora (dysbiosis); nutritional deficiencies (e.g., use of a low-fiber diet, insufficient supply of dietary fiber).
Action
Multilac IBS contains sodium butyrate encapsulated in the form of micropellets. Administering sodium butyrate in this form is intended to distribute it throughout the gastrointestinal tract to provide the benefits of sodium butyrate within the colon. An additional advantage of using a protected form of sodium butyrate is that it masks its unpleasant odor.
Recommended daily dose
Adults: orally 1 capsule twice daily, in the morning and evening. It is recommended to use the product for at least 3 months. Children over 7 years of age: orally 1 capsule once a day, preferably in the evening. It is recommended to use the preparation for at least 6 weeks. The capsule should be swallowed whole with a drink of water, preferably with a meal. Your doctor may prescribe other servings to take depending on your individual needs.
