The main component of Citotrop is CDP-choline (cytidyl-5´diphosphocholine). CDP-choline is a naturally occurring, endogenous precursor of phosphatidylcholine, the basic building block of cell membrane phospholipids. CDP-choline is hydrolyzed to cytidine and choline, which readily crosses the blood-brain barrier and plays a leading role in the synthesis and reconstruction of nerve cell membranes. Indications Citotrop dietary supplement is recommended for use to supplement CDP-choline and support brain function. Activity CDP-choline has a positive effect on normal brain function by increasing acetylcholine synthesis and influencing phospholipid synthesis.
