General instructions Fixing cream is not a substitute for a good denture fitting by your dentist or prosthodontist. If you find that the cream is working less well than usual or feel it leaking during use - consult your doctor. In case of recurring inflammation or damage to the mucous membrane - consult a dentist before using the cream. Using a denture requires regular hygiene of the oral cavity and the denture itself. For this we recommend cleaning the denture with Protefix® HIGIENA cleaning paste. Usually the denture can be easily removed for cleaning; if necessary rinse the mouth thoroughly with warm water and then loosen the denture. During proper use of the cream you may naturally swallow small amounts of the cream, which is not harmful to the body. With the above mentioned method of use the cream can be used for a long time. Cleaning the denture and the oral cavity Rinse the mouth with water. Gently move the denture and remove it. If there are remains of cream on the denture or in the mouth, remove them with a cotton swab moistened with warm water or edible oil. Gently clean the gums and palate with a soft brush. Clean the denture from food remains with a soft toothbrush and Protefix® HIGIENA paste. Rinse thoroughly under running water. How to use the cream Apply the mounting cream to the clean, wet or dry denture. Apply a small amount of cream (in short sections), spaced as shown. It will take several trials to determine how much cream is necessary and at the same time does not flow out from under the denture. Place the denture, press down, and then bite lightly. The cream works immediately after application. When the tube is opened, oil may appear, which is the base of the cream. Remove excess oil by squeezing it out of the tube; this does not affect the adhesive strength. After use, close the tube carefully, taking care not to let water get into it. Moisture getting into the tube may cause the fixing cream to harden.
