Naturell Folate Forte is a dietary supplement containing calcium L-methylfolate. It is an active form of folic acid that is bioequivalent to folate found naturally in food and does not require processing.
The MTHFR gene, which is mutated in up to 30-50% of the population, determines the proper absorption of folic acid. In these individuals, the efficiency of converting folic acid to its active form can decrease by up to 70%. Research confirms that many people do not fully metabolize folic acid
